AI property management software that does the work
Sahab Key's AI answers questions about your own rentals in plain English and handles routine tasks for you: it can prepare a lease, open a maintenance request, or log an expense, and nothing is created until you confirm it. You can also connect your own AI assistant, such as Claude, to your portfolio. Updated October 2026.
- Works on your own data
- You confirm every change
- Never moves money
- $49 a month add-on
What can the AI do in Sahab Key?
It reads the portfolio you already run in Sahab Key and does five jobs. Each one starts from your real ledger, leases, and requests, not from a blank prompt.
- Portfolio assistant Ask who is behind on rent, how a building did last month, or which leases end soon. Or hand it a task: prepare a lease, open a service request, or log an expense.
- Tenant risk radar Flags tenants drifting late before the balance grows, from their payment history with you alone. It is not a credit check and is never used to screen applicants.
- Maintenance triage Suggests a category and priority for each new request and spots likely duplicates. Nothing changes until you accept the suggestion.
- Owner reports, written Drafts the month's owner report around your real figures, ready for you to read and send.
- Cash flow forecast Six months of expected rent with a confidence range, built from your own collection history.
Can the AI make changes on its own?
No. The assistant only prepares an action. A card with every detail appears in the chat, and nothing is created until you click Confirm.
When you confirm, Sahab Key runs the same steps and the same permission checks as the page you would have used by hand, so a team member can never do more through the assistant than their role allows. A lease it prepares comes from a built-in template, and you should have an attorney review it before anyone signs.
Some things it cannot do at all. It cannot move money, waive a charge, message a tenant, change your billing, or delete anything.
The numbers come from Sahab Key itself. Balances, totals, and forecasts are computed by the software, and the AI writes the words around them. AI output can still be inaccurate or incomplete, so check anything important before you act on it.
Can I connect my own AI assistant, like Claude?
Yes. The AI and API access add-on connects your AI assistant, such as Claude or any assistant that supports connectors, directly to your Sahab Key portfolio.
From your assistant you can ask about tenants, units, leases, payments, charges, maintenance, and your finances in plain English. You can also have it open maintenance requests and log expenses. It cannot take payments, run screening, or text tenants.
You connect by signing in with your own Sahab Key account. The connection only sees your organization's data, every connection is listed in your settings, and you can revoke any of them at any time. Every change made through the connector is recorded in your activity log, the same as a change made in the app.
The same add-on includes a secure read-only API for tenants, units, payments, and charges, with keys you can create and revoke.
How much does the AI cost?
Both AI add-ons are flat monthly prices for your whole organization, on top of the base plan. Neither is required to run your rentals.
| Plan or add-on | Price | What it includes |
|---|---|---|
| Base plan | $2 per unit a month, $50 minimum | Rent collection, autopay, maintenance, leases, Section 8 tracking, tenant portal, and books |
| AI Insights | $49 a month | Portfolio assistant, tenant risk radar, maintenance triage, owner reports, and cash flow forecast |
| AI and API access | $49 a month | Connect your own AI assistant to your portfolio, plus the read-only API |
A 40-unit portfolio with AI Insights is $129 a month: $80 for the units plus $49. There are no setup fees and no free trial. Full price list on the pricing page.
Is my tenants' data safe with the AI?
Sahab Key's built-in AI works only on your own organization's data, and the provider that runs it does not use that data to train its models.
Every customer's portfolio is kept separate, so the assistant can never see another landlord's tenants or numbers. The risk radar never receives a tenant's name or any demographic information. Exactly what each feature sends, and why, is listed in the privacy policy.
When you connect your own assistant, what happens to the answers on that side follows that assistant's own privacy settings, so check them before you connect.
Who is it for?
Independent landlords and small property management companies running roughly 10 to 200 US residential units, without a back office to do the routine work.
If you already use Claude or another AI assistant for the rest of your business, the connector lets it work with your rentals too. If you would rather not use AI at all, leave both add-ons off: everything else in Sahab Key works without them.
